HEAD, CORPORATE BANKINK
Key Responsibilities:
As Head of Corporate Banking, the individual is expected to ensure the efficient and effective performance of the Department. He or she will be required to:
- Design and implement a marketing strategy to effectively achieve the commercial and financial objectives of the department.
- Design and aggressively market corporate liability and asset products so as to achieve deposit and credit portfolio targets.
- Review credit proposals and make recommendations to management.
- Successfully source medium-term loans with DFI’s to sustain support for the SME sector
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure effective house-keeping.
- Play all key roles required as a Management staff including collaboration with other team leaders to achieve the department’s and Bank-wide goals.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
The individual must be high a impact, commercially oriented, customer-centric, dynamic and visionary person with a record of achieving results individually and through others. He or she must possess:
- A good first degree in the second class upper division from a reputable and recognized University. A professional qualification such as ACIB or MBA (Finance) will be advantage.
- At least ten (10) years experience in a lending function with a minimum of five(50) years in a leadership/management role.
- Must have supervised ten (10) or more staff in leadership/management role
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to make effective presentations.
- Good human relations and inter-personal skills. A good aptitude for collaborating with competitors is required.
- Ability to adapt to difficult working environment, work under time and resource pressure to meet strict deadlines
- High proficiency in project evaluation to determine feasibility and financial viability. He or she must be able to assess customer’s financial proposals and present solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Ability to develop innovative asset and liability products suitable for the market segment and enhance our value proposition.
